Antique Diamond and Silver Upon Gold Eight Ray Star Brooch, Circa 1890

An antique, late Victorian, diamond star brooch, with an eight pointed star, with a raised centre, set with an old-cut diamond, with a surrounding cluster of eight, old-cut diamonds, in cut down settings, the points are set with old-cut, old mine-cut and rose cut diamonds, in grain settings, with single diamond rays, in cut down settings, on knife edge stalks, between the points, mounted in silver-upon-gold, with an approximate total weight of 7.00 carats, with a removable pin fitting, with later roller catch, English, circa 1890.
