A hard stone cameo brooch, set with a cameo of a Roman woman's head, carved in high relief, onto a grey background, in a gold frame with a black enamelled surround, set with natural half pearls and rose-cut diamonds. With a French eagle marks for 18ct gold and French maker's mark on the hook. Circa 1861 to 1880.
