Antique Ruby and Diamond Crescent Brooch, Circa 1895
An antique ruby and diamond crescent brooch, set with nine, oval faceted rubies, graduating in size, alternating with eight, pairs of old-cut...
A Moira frog on a leaf brooch, with a pavé diamond set frog, with cabochon cut ruby eyes, sitting on a green and ochre plique à jour enamel leaf, set with round brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in gold, with silver settings. Signed Moira, numbered 5084. Moiras eponymous collection was inspired by clients searching for unusual jewellery that just couldnt be sourced anywhere. Influenced by nature itself, Moira put together a collection representing the forms of flora and fauna, employing what are now rare traditional setting techniques, old-cut stones and enamel in its various styles. The plique à jour method resembles rich stained glass. These romantic pieces are set to become the heirlooms of the future.
