Spinel (Natural)

Throughout history spinel was confused with ruby. In fact, the famous Black Prince's Ruby in the British Crown Jewels is actually a large spinel. Spinel is an under-appreciated gemstone but full of character, colour and charm for fine jewellery collectors.
