Antique Natural Pearl Diamond Green and White Enamel Gold and Silver Brooch, Circa 1880

An antique natural pearl, diamond and enamel brooch, with a navette shaped outline, with a double heart motif, in the centre, with oval half-pearls, in rose-cut diamond cluster surrounds, in silver cut down settings, onto a green guilloche enamel background, with a border of white enamel, with gold dot decoration and an outer border of small pearls, mounted in gold, with a locket compartment on the back, containing cream, woven fabric, with a pin and c-catch fitting and a loop for a safety chain, with scratched inventory marks, 123, y/NS/-, 907 and 901 scored out, circa 1880.

In Victorian symbolism twin hearts represented two lovers united.
