Art Deco Diamond Ruby and Platinum Double Clip Brooch, Circa 1930

An Art Deco diamond and ruby double clip brooch, in an oval, geometric design, which can be worn as a single brooch or as a pair of dress clips on the neckline or collar of a dress. The design features two European old-cut diamonds, in four claw settings, alternating with groups of four calibré-cut rubies, in channel settings, with further, similarly set groups of six rubies, at the quarters; with an old-cut diamond, grain set, open work, plaque design, resembling arrow fletching, surrounding the centre pair of diamonds and rubies, with a scalloped border, grain set with old-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, with white gold pin and clip fittings, circa 1930.
