An antique amethyst and gold long chain necklace, with oval faceted amethysts in spectacle settings, connected with lengths of trace chain, with a bolt ring clasp, stamped 15ct, circa 1920. 

15ct gold was officially in use, in the UK, from 1854 to 1932, that is it was Hallmarked during that period, although it was used, unmarked, by Georgian jewellers.
